Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer/Project Manager to join the project team, based in Hobart. This person will be responsible for manage, advising, design, construction monitoring and supporting electrical systems of the power infrastructure and renewable projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage portfolios of renewable and power infrastructure projects
  • Responsible for all aspects of project from development phase to design phase, construction phase, and operational phase
  • Prepare and advise technical specifications
  • Seek potential suppliers and subcontractors, negotiate and incorporate suppliers and subcontractors for the project
  • Perform internal interface within TPS Energy Australia’s departments and external interface with other project stakeholders
  • Lead and manage system design and documentation 
  • Prepare method statement for construction and installation works
  • Monitor and control construction and installation
  • Perform quality assurance checking
  • Manage work packages and deliverables for projects
  • Manage construction schedule and HSE

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • At least 7 years of experience in construction industry including 3 years in renewables
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong knowledge of Electrical systems of infrastructure and renewable projects.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Good problem-solving and well-organized skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
