Major duties and responsibilities:
Directly report to the Customer Account Manager and external tax Accountant.
- Managing invoices, receiving and handling payments, and completing general bookkeeping duties include managing ledgers, account reconciliations and ensure accurate financial record keeping.
- Preparing monthly, quarterly and annually financial statements upon completing related tasks and acquire the approval from the external Accountant. This includes end of year processes and calculating tax liability as well as tax implications of the business.
- Assisting to identify Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for critical areas of the business and prepare performance reports. Interpret the results in comparison with industry and competition, then present it to management for decision making.
- Prepare annual forecast encompassing sales, revenue and expenditure. Quarterly review of the forecast and comparison with actual performance to identify variances and highlight issues in performance for corrective actions.
- Evaluate key business proposals and provide advice on project funding options available.
- Assist conducting internal and external audits such as wage reviews and inventory valuations to avoid any policy implementation violations or fraud. Also, develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Review and recommend accounting software upgrades to improve the accounting function accuracy and efficiency. The company currently uses Xero accounting software for all tasks.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This is an engineering opportunity that will see you contribute to various multi-disciplinary
engineering technical projects and face design engineering challenges. With a focus on
Renewable Energy system integrations, modifications, simulations, design, and development.
you will be contributing to the commercial delivery of innovative technologies and products.
Key objectives include:
- Design, develop, research, test, analyze, and evaluate new and modified products,
processes, and services to meet Tasmania’s local and national customer requirements. - Undertaking conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design of PV panel Inverter, firmware,
and deployment aspects of new sustainable power products. - Assist other engineering technologists in the generation of specialized electronics, and
software tools to support the testing of complex PV Solar Panel Automatic systems. - Assist in the design and development of solar inverter and battery systems, considering
factors such as efficiency, reliability, safety, and cost-effectiveness. - Actively initiating ideas for innovation in the new product design of solar panel systems,
technology Photovoltaic (PV) platforms, and technical methodologies for Solar and wind
energy systems. - Responsible for establishing energy system solutions for local customers and energy
Storage businesses. - Technically coordinating and managing assigned projects (Water Energy, Solar Energy,
and Wind Energy) within timelines and budgetary allowances. - Design current control modules for different power generation systems.
- Design efficient charging control panels to charge the solar-powered battery.
- Studies about the modification and maintenance of existing renewable energy systems.
- Providing assistance in the development of engineering proposals and preparation of
feasibility studies, technical objectives, and design constraints. - Analyse feedback from users to continuously improve and optimize our solutions based on
real-world usage scenarios. - Providing technical engineering support and coordination for maintenance execution,
minor capital projects, solar project upgrades, and major conversion overhauls.
ABOUT YOU
Your willingness to be hands-on in a specialized engineering environment will be
complemented by the following:
- Degree-level qualifications in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g. Electrical,
Electronics, Production, Manufacturing, Designing). - Specializations or Master’s degrees in relevant engineering fields will be an added
advantage. - Demonstrable Research and development experience (ideally 2+ years).
- Engineering technologist and technical experience in the field of design, development,
fabrication, installation, and use of custom electrical, electronics, and software
subsystems. - Experience with designing Renewable Energy management modules including, power
control devices and circuits, troubleshooting and testing different electronics systems. - Technical writing and communication skills and ability to present technically complex
information. - Familiarity with system simulation tools and experimental methods.
- Proficient with computer design software including AutoCAD, Ni Multisim, and
LabVIEW. - Experience in conducting technical training sessions and preparing technical
documentation. - Ability to achieve results in a demanding and challenging site and global environment.
